20th of January 2025: There were 35 young athletes from Shannon AC yesterday at Clare AAI Indoor Championships in Nenagh.
These are our fantastic 35 winners, many of which have competed in Champs for the first time. Kudos to all of them for their dedication to sport, hard work and braveness As couches and volunteers, we are so proud of them It was fantastic seeing so many dedicated young athletes in our yellow-green singlets
Altogether, we brought 10 medals from multiple disciplines:
Jack Gold Shot put U17Simon. Bronze 200m, Bronze Shot Put, silver High Jump, Bronze 60m all U17Marcel: Silver High Jump U15Daniel: silver 500m, gold 60m U10Jason: Bronze Shot Put U12Isaiah: Silver Shot Put U15
Fantastic results, specially because it's been only a year only since our re-opening in January last year. All competing athletes have made fantastic progress: physically and emotionally. The progress that made them competing at a county level. The future is bright!
