GDPR is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and the European Economic Area. It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas.

We have updated our privacy policy in line with Athletics Ireland guidelines and the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 up to 24 May 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on and from 25 May 2018 (Data Protection Legislation). Our data protection measures are implemented  to ensure that all personal information is handled securely and in accordance with GDPR regulations.

We collect all data that are necessary to identify our members and provide us with contact details and history of activities in our club. Such as: 

• Name, date of birth, gender, email address, address, telephone number, names of the Athletics Ireland affiliated clubs that you are a member of and details of any coaching or officiating licenses you hold.

• Data on any injuries, medical conditions etc as provided by you to the AC club

• Membership forms, competition results, Vetting data, ID forms and application forms

You have the right to know what data is collected and how it is used. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us directly by phone, email or in person.
