Three golds for Shannon AC at Munster Masters T&F Championships in Templemore this weekend. May 25th-27th!

We are pleased to announce that Shannon Athletic Club have been selected to the current round of Tesco Ireland Community Fund.

Sunday, May 5th was a fantastic day for  Shannon Athletic Club. On this day our esteemed coach, Karl Fitzmaurice, secured 3rd place in the Regeneron Great Limerick Run. A huge thank you to Karl for representing our club with such an achievement. We are all immensely proud of your dedication and running prowess! 

We have our first Gold Medal for Shannon Athletic Club since its re-opening in January this year. Sean Cleary won the Gold on Track and Field County Championship 2024, for Turbo Javelin! This victory is not just about the medal; it's a triumph of perseverance and determination. The second Medalist is JJ who won not one but two medals today.  Sean sets a new standard of excellence for the club, especially significant after its recent reopening.

On Saturday, 20th of April we had a great privilege to participate in Shannon Tidy Towns's Plant a Tree initiative. We were especially honored as the main volunteer force consisted of Gerry Murphy and the employees from EI Electronics, our esteemed friend and supporter.

Our last Wednesday session, on April 17th was special to us, as we have a great visitor: Olivia Scully Hahne - RDO Athletics Ireland. Olivia was participating in our training and  gave us a special High Jump learning session during our older kids time.  

Shannon AC is buzzing with excitement following the outstanding performance of Karl Fitzmaurice, a distinguished runner and esteemed committee member.

Sunday, April 14  was a day filled with energy and enthusiasm at our Athletic Track. First time in ten years, Shannon AC hosted Shannon Community Games and its Athletic Event.

Sunday, April 7th was a true milestone for our four young athletes.  Kaya & Kaya, Sean and Jess proudly represented our Club during the event at the track on Lees Road, Ennis.

Two of our coaches, Rob Bryan and Eamonn Cleary were in action in the Master Munster Indoor Championships  in Nenagh, on February 5th 2024. 

The grand reopening of Shannon Athletics Club was an overwhelming success!  This evening, on Wednesday January 31st, we had the joy of welcoming around 80 enthusiastic kids to our grounds, marking the beginning of a fantastic new chapter for our beloved club.
